Wildfire Ready Irvine: Protecting our Homes and Community

Did you know that many homes in Portola Springs are located in a Fire Hazard Severity Zone? That means our area has been identified by the State of California as having a Moderate, High, or Very High risk of wildfire.

If you missed the recent Wildfire Preparedness Info Session here in the neighborhood, don’t worry — there’s another chance to join!

Come to Irvine City Hall on Thursday, October 30, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM for a special presentation by the Orange County Fire Authority. You’ll learn simple, practical ways to help protect your home and family. The event is hosted by Mayor Larry Agran.

Join us and learn about what YOU can do to protect your home:

- Fire-smart landscaping
- Risks and solutions
- Hear what firefighters wish every homeowner knew
- Harden your home: Strengthen it to withstand flying embers

Our Portola Springs Emergency Preparedness Committee will also give a short presentation about how we can all be more prepared for emergencies and make our community stronger together.
